More Than Meets The Eye

You just know what this entry is going to be about, everyone from my era knows that line "more than meets the eye". I'm talking about nothing less than the Transformers, which is now being made into a live action movie, set for release in 2007. I'm both thrilled and scared shitless, because it's being directed by Michael Bay of Pearl Harbor fame. Ugh, but at least it's not Uwe Boll.

I finished watching the original first season this weekend. I'm not sure if that one listed at Amazon is the same one that I have, because it's apparently out of print. Hmm, I guess both of them are. Anyway, it was a fun trip through memory lane and suffering through the horrible animation wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. New bots and characters got introduced throughout the entire season and destroyed or abandoned just as quickly it seemed. They only had so much manpower to get these things out and I'm sure a lot of the drive was cartoons to sell the toys. Man, it made me wish I still had some of those toys, however broken they are.
