If you're looking for MSN Messenger Automation, you might as well forget it. Apparently one of the earlier versions supported automation and there were some horrible bugs that came with it. So if you want to write scripts to automate MSN Messenger now you're SOL, because they took the easy route and simply stopped exposing that stuff.
Nowadays you may be able to automate Windows Messenger (a separate product from MSN Messenger) and you can apply to create an MSN Messenger "Activity", but the only free way would be to support their service protocol and basically make your own client.
Yuck.
