Abstract Geek Speak

In doing some much needed cleaning in My Documents folder I came across a gem of a quote:

I just have to be able to implement certain abstractions and you have to implement an importer and exporter. I basically have to invent a library which exposes these protocols.

This is just a fragment of a conversation I couldn't help but overhear in Tully's. The text file I saved it in is dated March 2007.
