MLK Does a Body Good

When I visited my Dad earlier in the week we kept seeing MLK in various places on television and it took a moment for us to realize it meant Martin Luther King, Junior. I guess the Jr is implied, because I've yet to see MLKJ. He was an amazing man; one deserving of a day to commemorate him and we did so without realizing it by watching a movie on one of my Dad's crusty VHS tapes about the Black Panthers which starred "Tank".

I really didn't know much about them and after the film what I thought I had known wasn't even correct. At least, if this portrayal is historically accurate. It seems that although they were blacks carrying guns, they weren't pro-violence, just pro-freedom. They exercised their rights to bear arms and kept doing so, mostly without using them, simply to enforce their slogan "power to the people".
