It's a Boyd!

I'm in Boyd's Coffee which is a Store according to Google and a Company according to their website, but as a distinctly Cafe feel to me. The atmosphere is warm (someone turn down the thermostat, it's like frickin' Africa in here) and extremely open. Seriously the ceiling is like at least twenty feet up and the decorations are sparse amounts of plants and white glass/plastic pattens blocking direct sunlight from the windows.

Boyd's Coffee in Downtown Portland has Free WiFi

They have free WiFi too, which is more than I can say for the seriously expensive Marriott Downtown Portland Riverfront. You'd think paying $219 for a room would entail you to a few perks beyond a view. Also note, I have two beds because they didn't have any rooms left with a single King. Thus if you know my number, you're in Portland tonight, and you want a nice place to stay -- give me a call!
I was wondering how much it cost to ride the buses, streetcars, and light rail here ... turns out it's free for most of downtown. The fareless zone stretches up next to the airport as well, I think. I might use this to go find a new place to stay tomorrow.
