Seafair Marathon Registered!

Goofy RunAutumn and I are going to do the first-half of the Seafair Marathon. Actually it's less than half, because the full marathon in its entirety is 26.2 miles which is, apparently, a standard ...
mar·a·thon [mar-uh-thon, -thuhn] - noun
  1. a foot race over a course measuring 26 mi. 385 yd. (42 km 195 m).
  2. any long-distance race.
  3. any contest, event, or the like, of great, or greater than normal, length or duration or requiring exceptional endurance: a dance marathon; a sales marathon.

Don't believe me? Here's proof of my registration ...

Seafair Marathon Registration

No I don't want your noodles or to donate anything extra to something ... I thought that was part of this hefty price I'm paying for pain! For this I agreed to let them take sweaty pictures of me to entice others into joining the journey next year (bold added by me):

Waiver & Release

Please read the below Waiver(s) and check the appropriate boxes. By Clicking 'Accept' at the bottom of this page you are agreeing to the Waiver(s) on this page.

WAIVER AND RELEASE: I know participating in a marathon, marathon relay, half marathon or kids marathon is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and trained properly. I agree to abide by any decisions of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including, but not limited to tripping and falling, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of acceptance of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Seafair, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Washington State Transportation Commission, The Washington State Department of Transportation, The Washington State Patrol, City of Bellevue, City of Kirkland, City of Seattle, Perfect Time Events, USA Track & Field, all sponsors, contractors and volunteers, their respectives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose and I understand that my name will be posted on the VM Team Medicine Seafair Marathon website as a participant of the 2008 event. I also understand that my entry fee is non-refundable. A parent must sign if entrant is under 18 years of age. This is to certify that my child has permission to compete in the event, is in good physical condition and the event officials may authorize necessary medical treatment. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby strollers, roller skates or blades, animals and headsets are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this guideline. I further agree to return the timing chip that is issued to me at the completion of the race or pay a $30 replacement fee, no refunds.

AthletesLounge.com LLC Waiver/Release

I recognize that AthletesLounge.com is a third-party transaction processor only for this event. AthletesLounge.com is not responsible for refunds, transfers, and/or exchanges.

I recognize that any failure on the part of the event staff and its affiliates, is not the responsibility of AthletesLounge.com and release AthletesLounge.com from any financial liability relating to any failure on the part of the event staff and its affiliates.

I recognize that AthletesLounge.com will appear on my credit card statement and will not dispute the fee. I accept that disputing the charge for any reason will result in a $25.00 correcting fee.
I wonder what "any legitimate purpose" means? Or "trained properly"? Here's the thing, we're going to do the "Walk" not the "Run" or even the "Nordic Walk", so hopefully my lack of proper and true marathon training will not cause any critical circumstances. I imagine the most of my troubles will deal with sweaty thighs and the strange moans I would then make.
