Things You'll Need:
- Gmail Account
- Open an email message from the person you want to block. If one isn't immediately apparent, just type all or part of their name/address into the search box after "from:" (i.e. "from:Bob the Spammer").
- Click the down-arrow icon in the upper-right of the message window, next to where it says "Reply". These are actions you can apply to the current message.
- On the pop-up menu, select "Filter messages like this". This tells the filter creation to start with one that's based on the FROM address.
- Now you'll be taken to the "Create a Filter" wizard, click "Next Step" on the first page since the parameters based on the from-address has already been created.
- Now, on the "Choose Action" page, check the box next to "Delete it" and hit "Create Filter".
- The "Also apply filter to messages below" checkbox on the last page will delete all those pesky emails right away and block new ones.
- You can setup a more advanced filter to even block a whole domain (e.g. "@tinaspamfarm.com").
- Keep your filters as specific as possible otherwise weird things can happen.
