Amazia Diphallic Terata

Here is a movie my brother Tarraccas put together as an art project for our high school.

Besides just silly fun, much of the innuendo and jokes were meant to be explainable to the ignorant teacher, making it even more humorous to those in the know. In particular I recall she abhorred simple curses like "Damn You", thus necessitating the credited spelling Daum Eyu instead. The title itself is a somewhat grotesque combination of Latin for two medical conditions: Amazia (mammary gland is absent) and Diphallic Terata (born with two penises). It probably got passed off as a medieval fantasy naming thing.

The dubbing process for this degraded the quality more than usual, because the VCR's contrast setting was dialed too far up. We figured that out much later and after the assignment was turned in. I'm not sure if anything would have been done considering the difficulty of compiling the end result. Imagine a stereo on the floor, tapes and wires everywhere, and my brother sitting cross-legged staring intently at a television while the finished version got recorded beginning to end with him switching cassettes for each song change. The VHS tape I digitized initially wouldn't play at all, so I'm thankful I was even able to get this!

Despite misspelling my own credit (camer operator), I do appreciate a lot of what we produced here with some excellent framing, scene changes, and cheesy dialog / foolish noises (not to mention, product placement!). It makes me daydream about what we could have done with a better camera, non-linear editing software, etc. And what would have happened if we went into film instead of technology?
